POOJA TANJORE

Pooja Tanjore is a Donald M. Payne International Development Fellow with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). She is an incoming Crisis, Stabilization, and Governance officer with USAID, and currently attends Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.

She is a former non-profit organizer, Junior Ambassador for the United States, and university student at both William & Mary and the University of St. Andrews. She attended two prestigious universities and earned the International Honors Joint Degree. She wrote her dissertation on Terror Management Theory in International Relationships. She uses her writing skills to meet diverse demands. She recently published her debut novel, Rules of the Red Book, with New Degree Press and is working on the second book in the fantasy series.

She attended Rock Ridge High School where she spent her summers gaining admission to Georgetown University Summer Institutes at the School of Foreign Service, Governor’s School for the Humanities, and the University of Virginia High School Leaders Program and Summer Enrichment Program. She utilized her writing skills as an intern on four political campaigns, to apply to 22 schools, and gain admission to the top public university in the United States. She graduated high school in three years after using her writing skills to earn the Department of State fully-funded Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship. She then spent one year living in Germany researching civics education and working with youth. She now serves as an English Co-Teacher to Bosnian students through the America Bosnia Collaboration. She is fluent in English, German, and spoken Telugu. She freelances in college essay editing, cover letter editing, resume editing, speech writing, English ACT/SAT prep, and personal statement editing.
