the fight in the dog
a snail mail club from author pooja tanjore.
real envelopes. real stamps. real stories.
it’s not the size of the dog in the fight
…it’s the size of the fight in the dog. After publishing my debut novel, I wanted a way to keep sharing my writing that felt personal, tangible, and a little bit brave. This club is about that fight: the fight to keep learning, to stay creative, and to be a multifaceted person in a world that wants to flatten you into one thing.
Once a month, I’ll mail you an envelope. Inside: things to read, things to do, and things to send onward to the people you love.
in every envelope
01
a letter from me to you
what I’m writing, reading, and wrestling with
02
an original short story
new fiction you won’t find anywhere else
03
a double dog dare
one challenge to push you out of your comfort zone
04
a postcard
write it and send it to someone you love
05
a poem print
a poem I loved this month, made to keep or pin up
06
a writing prompt
because you have stories in you too
some months: a “what I learned this month” recap. plus random extras — stickers, bookmarks, fortunes, games, and other small surprises that don’t fit neatly into categories. just like you.
